Martell
The oldest of the great cognac houses
Martell was founded in Cognac in 1715 by Jean Martell, a merchant from the island of Jersey, and is the oldest of the great cognac houses still in operation. Over three centuries Martell has developed its own recognisable style: clean, elegant and fruity, where finesse matters more than power. The house is closely linked to the Borderies growing area, whose round, floral eaux-de-vie give many Martell blends their character. Martell cognacs combine a long history with modern versatility.
