Hennessy
The art of cognac since 1765
Hennessy is the world's largest and one of its best-known cognac houses. It was founded in the town of Cognac in 1765 by Richard Hennessy, an officer of Irish origin, and today, for many people, the house's name has become a synonym for cognac. Hennessy is also regarded as the creator of the XO category. The house holds one of the region's largest stocks of old eaux-de-vie, from which its master blenders create both versatile everyday cognacs and rare prestige blends. The Hennessy style is defined by richness, spice and the warmth of mature oak, and by an art of blending handed down from generation to generation.
